Summer Riot mandala is a 9″ x 9″ ink and water colour on water colour paper – unframed
Creating mandalas is a meditative process for me drawing on childhood memories and life experience. Starting with an unfurling rose at the centre, flowers peak and then burst out from every angle. This was created at the end of a long dark winter – just about at Easter with its promise of rebirth. You might even imagine some decorated eggs hidden in the pattern. Dragonflies push the boundaries skyward while pollen bursts from the outermost blooms. The vibrant colours enhance this riotous display of summer energy.
Unframed. (Contact the artist to discuss framing if desired.)
